    Dykem

Just curious, anyone try lasering dykem (blue metal marking dye)? I did a search, but came up empty.

If I coated the my metal with dykem, I could use the laser to draw a pattern by selectively removing the dye.

You could do the same with a lot of other materials that are cheaper than dykem. Paint, for example, or a blue sharpie marker.
