    Serious Lathe DOA

I have a friend with a Serious Lathe that just quit. The VFD seems completely dead, no error codes, no nothing. Does anyone have any ideas? Does A VFD have fuses inside? He was coring a 12" bowl blank when it happened. I will be going to his shop Friday so I can check anything.

Thanks for any help and suggestions,

    Dale Winburn

  2. Dale, an email to Scott Trumbo will yield proper input on this .....also Tom Zepada in Front Royal is now an East Cost Serioius representative for Serious. Scott is a standup guy, and will do all he can to help.....he values his customers and the Serious Toolworks reputation.

Call the lathe or VFD vendor for advice/troubleshooting. In my opinion, they provide the most reliable information. - John

I assume you checked for the obvious with a multimeter?

    - power from the wall
    - all wires connected to the VFD
    - fuses, if any
