    Embroidery... help !!

Ok, I know this is a laser forum , but Im pretty sure some here have experience in Embroidery
We want to add it to the list of services offered . tho not on a huge 1000 piece run but not mom and pop but more small scale commercial basis , mostly caps , jerseys , shirts , jackets etc .. smallish scale to start off with.
But I am clueless .. as to what machine to get .. programs etc.
I do know a home sewing machine will probably not work.. what must I look for and what should a decent startup cost (im prepared to go Chinese if mainstream is too expensive)

    Thanks in advance

We use Tajima embroidery machines. We currently have a 2-head, two 6-heads, and a 12-head. We've had them for many years and they're very reliable. In fact, we just upgraded them from the original floppy drives to usb a few weeks ago. They are not cheap, though. A new six-head machine would probably cost more than an 80-watt Trotec Speedy 400. (See - I made it laser-related)
