water sensor leaking

Hi Guys,

Question, anybody know where I could get a replacement water sensor for my machine?
I was in the middle of an etch piece and noticed a puddle of water under the machine...
opened up the water hookups in the rear, pulled out the hose and the water sensor is spewing out water...

I must add, yes I have a cheap chinese machine...lol

any help would be appreciated.

in the meanwhile. could I disconnect it? I noticed the water chiller came with a, spare airplane plug and no wire or anywhere to plug into... Could I wire it up to my cw5000?

Look on Alibaba Express or LightObjects' website for a replacement. Are you sure it is broken and not just a bad connection? When I attached my cw5000, its flow was too strong and caused a leak at unions inside my machine until I attached hose clamps at the unions.

If you have a CW5000, it has a no-flow alarm function by default so just disable the flow alarm on your laser itself using the keypad on your Ruida controller.

Agree with Doug, my laser doesn't have a sensor, depends on me to turn on chiller and chiller has flow alarm. Which I check every now and again by crimping hose, takes 2 seconds to alarm.

Let me ask you this, for my reference and other's future reference. How do I turn it off? My wife asked the same question, "can't you just disable it",

I'm handy, but when it comes to this machine, I am a putz! ( for now... I'm learning a lot and fast, with the help of the creekers! )

You can turn​ it on or off in the software. With machine on, and connected, by going to the vendor settings tab, PW RD8888, and then click Read. This imports the parameters of your machine. Btw, if haven't done it yet, click save and save a backup file to a sàfe location.

Then click on laser but and at bottom uncheck the water protect button. Then write for back to the laser. Reset laser and it should shut off alarm.

It's a normally open, just bridge the two wires

I have found a replacement.

For now, I just removed the sensor from the line and bound the two wires together, to close the circuit. I did a diagnostic test and all came up good. life can continue as normal... for now... until the new one arrives.
