Thread: Spalted Hackberry Bowl

  1. Spalted Hackberry Bowl

Another Hackberry bowl... nothing much to it (the bowl), but some character in the wood I wanted to share. I'm really startin' to like Hackberry.

    7-3/4" wide, 2-1/2" tall, 5/16" thick

Nice job, Mark. I like hackberry as well. I like the cute little bottoms on your bowls.

P.S. If you are interested in plans for any project that I post, just put some money in an envelope and mail it to me and I will keep it.

After my last hackberry attemp I had told myself I would never allow this wood to find it's way into my shop again. Now, you are making me really question my judgment. How do you avoid the tearout and sanding issues?
