    Laguna CL 1200 v

Does anyone know anything about these lathes. I have an opportunity to get a never used one from a vocational school for a very cheap price.
I cannot find anything about it. Any info would be much appreciated. Sam

The CL 1200 was a copy lathe that I don't believe they make any longer. Parts might be a little tricky but call Laguna to see if they still stock anything.

Yes I did check that out. Parts are available. The price is almost nothing. But if it's not worth the 800 lbs on scrap, why bother. Does anyone know anything about it's quality

For next to nothing, I’d have a hard time passing it up. It’s basically a spindle copy lathe but built like a tank. Tubular bed but the tubes are like 3 inch diameter solid steel. It can be set up for manual turning, it has a 17.5 inch swing and a fairly common metric threaded spindle with a #2 Morse taper. If it were me, I’d be figuring out how to make an adapter to mount a standard banjo on it! With something like a Oneway banjo, this could be a sweet machine.
