    Table Saw Dust Collection Guard

I own a Penn State Table Saw Dust Collection Guard and I'd like to power it with my Harbor Freight Dust collector. The saw has ducted collection on the cabinet but I don't know if the Harbor Freight will generate enough flow to run the over arm guard. I've been hooking up the shop vac to it but I'd really like to save a little floor space and simplify my life.

Teaching grandchildren the hobby is rewarding. Most of the time

Most over-table guards that support collection use a 2.5"-3" hose and your HF system should be able to do a reasonable job at supporting both the cabinet collection and the guard simultaneously as long as your connections are reasonably short. Obviously, you'll need a wye with the proper dimensions to branch off to the guard. A 'bigger, badder' DC would support this better, but I suspect you'll do ok with what you have...again, if you keep things short. The over head collector is actually the more important of the two collection points when you have both because it catches the splash directly from the blade..
