I was going to download it. All at once my computer was trying to download all sorts of files and programs. I opted out.
Dave Richards, what is the story on this?

No problem if you do it from here. https://www.sketchup.com/
I use Linux and I have not used Sketchup for years, so I took a quick look.
I told it that I wanted to download the desktop version and it offered up a Windows EXE file. I did not download it, but, it looked ok. When did the other files start downloading?
Did you start from here: https://www.sketchup.com/download/make
Looks like they also have a web browser version: https://www.sketchup.com/products/sketchup-free
Just to further drive the point home. Download SketchUp from sketchup.com and you'll be fine. Other sources can be problematic.

Thanks guys.
I use Linux on my home computer and have been using the web based version Andrew linked. So far there isn't anything I have missed as compared to the installed application.
