    Corner Bowl design opportunity

This started out as a small three corner bowl. One corner broke off right down the grain line. I think the wood is myrtle. It is the only piece of myrtle that I have turned so I played with it for awhile. It didn't look too good with two corners, so I sawed one off. I kind of like the result. More importantly my cousin liked it and took it home.

Nice save. I had somewhat similar experience knocking off one point and ended up rounding all 3 points which seemed to work also. The knot adds to wood character.

I like it too. Even more asymmetrical would look nice. I hand a cornered piece crack suddenly and turning off the crack I was left with round. I didn't think about sawing and carving on that one.
