Thread: New fence for vintage radial arm saw (RAS)

    I made this for my TS but thought why not but a fence on it to use with the RAS. If you look close you'll see that it's about an 1/8" above the surface of the RAS table, because of the runners for the TS.

    Interesting idea. But rather than a split fence, why not simply mount the miter gauge by itself in the center of the table? If you didn't use a split fence, you could cut stock to approximate length on the regular fence and put miters on afterwards by using separate miter gauges right and left of the blade.

    This is similar to the DeWalt OEM optional table that is shown here:

    thanks Roy but i like my wood in front of the cut . this is just for more option as the real miters get done on the PK.
