Thread: A 'Dunno' bowl ..............

    I started out using Poly/oil from General Finish as a friction finish. It's not really to be used that way and it didn't hold up. I've changed to French Polish, which is working well, and am looking at Gel Varnish for a harder finish without the "Plasticy" feel of Poly.

    I dunno what kind of wood that is either but the bowl sure turned out nice. The picture above would indicate that a feller with a rather large turning muscle was involved in the turning or was he just there to hold down the lathe? I know how them Arkansans are about leaning on things...

    Hey now......!!!!!!!!! I have to special order those shirts in order to get the round front on them.!!! Besides that, Grumbine says that "ya gotta have a nice turning muscle".....so I ordered one.
