    Late to the thread again, but I just got my Stanley 46 a few days ago. I know you asked for experience, but from what I can glean from my own research the 46 is a great plough, rabbit, and dado plane. Much better rabbit/dado than the 45/55. And it will plough unlike the 39 or 78. Tight little package and so pretty too!
