Ideas for Bandsaw sled

I am looking to make a bandsaw sled for my Laguna 18BX. What things should I consider when making one?

The only attribute I had in mind is a fence with a sliding stop block. I do not think I would do mitred cuts with it, so an adjustible angle fence I was not going to consider .

Does the fence need to be short in order to not be in the way of the blade guides? Is it better to have the sled to just one side of the blade vs across the entire table?

Any thoughts and ideas would be great.

What kind of cuts do you want to make with the sled? When I think of a sled for a band saw I think of one for sawing logs, is that what you have in mind?

I already have a log sled. I am thinking of using a bandsaw instead of tablesaw for cross cuts.
