Shop Made Bandsaw Fences: Got any pictures

This is probably an easy question for many of you, but why is it, to me anyway, that original equipment bandsaw fences look rather flimsy, while those on tablesaws look much more substantial? Is there a reason the same tablesaw system can't be modified for a bandsaw?

Also, any of you folks care to post pictures of your shop made bandsaw fences. I've done a search and haven't come up with much. I would be very interested to see them. I've researched my bandsaw selection to death, and often it's the fence that doesn't impress. Love to see yours.

John. I used an old craftsman table saw fence assembly on my old 20" bandsaw. Took a lot of modification, but works well.

I built this one from scraps, works well. Took about 3 hours to build.

I think there are probably others there in the member shop photo albums that I haven't come across yet. You might have to register on that forum to access these - not sure though.

Here's my first pass at one. It has rails on both sides, and the fence itself is reversable, with a high side for resawing and a low side for general use.

The reversible fence is a pretty cool idea. You've just been added to my BS Fence bookmark collection.

Here is the one I currently use for resawing, although I'm rethinking it based on a post from "Stu in Tokyo". Apparently his resaw fence extends just past the back if the blade, instead of the entire width of the table. Interesting.

These all look great, certainly give me something to think about. I can't tell from the pictures, but, do they attach to the opposite side to keep from being moved by leverage?
