    Nightstands finally finished

Here are the 2 matching nightstands that I finally finished for my daughter. They were started back in the spring but woodworking stopped for a while as we had a pool put in and to do so I had to tear down my storage shed and put all the stuff in it in garage mahal. Finally got my shop back in order late last month but had to make time to finish what I had started. They are made of QSRO and match a dresser I had made for my daughter for last Christmas. The finish is about 6 coats of General Finishes Clear Gloss on all parts and the darker parts were done with Bartleys Gel Dark Brown Mahogany Varnish. The inside of the drawers received a few coats of shellac. The knobs have not come in the mail yet so they will be added hopefully next week. Hope you enjoy and from my family to yours - Merry Christmas, may God bless you all.

Very nice, Mike. The QSRO is beautiful, and your construction does it justice. Has she ordered the matching dresser yet?

Mike! Wonderful clean lines and great workmanship. I really like the way the top "pops" in contrast to the rest of the piece,

Great looking! Are the top and base a different wood or just stained? I like the contrast.

Vaughn, the dresser was made for her last Christmas. It turned out pretty nice if I do say so myself .

John, the top and base are of the same wood only I stained them dark to get the contrast. The knobs, which came in the mail today, will be stained to match the top and base. I just put the first coat on them and will hopefully have them on the nightstands by early next week.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments from such a talented group of individuals. It makes a weekend wood butcher like myself proud of what little talent I possess . You guys are the best.
