I bought the Laguna adaptor that goes on the rear of the headstock. From there I use my own vacuum pump.

Here is a couple of pictures of the one I cobbled together with a few brass plumbing parts. The threads on the hand-wheel are a 5/8 UNC thread. I inserted a pipe nipple into it. I believe it is an 1/8 nipple. Then ground the threads down enough to fit into the bearing center and epoxied them together. The bearing was fitted into a turned piece of wood that is bored all the way through. On the other end is another bearing with a hose barb inserted and epoxied. The threads were also ground off a little to make a tight fit. Both bearings are epoxied into the wood. Nothing fancy, but it works and didn't cost much. I put an o-ring on the UNC fitting to eliminate any air leaks against the hand-wheel. I don't know if it helps, but it couldn't hurt.
