Thanks Kurt.
That was the answer I was looking for. My question was, if I had the Jet with only 16" swing over the bed but wanted to turn a blank that is 18-20", wet wood of course; how would I touch up the tenon so I can chuck it up to re-turn once it dries since I can not turn it between centers using the tailstock (this is assuming the turned bowl blanks is still larger than 16" after drying). I am sorry my initial thread was not very clear on my question.

Although, if I had a PM 3520A with a 20" swing, that would allow me to turn between centers the big blanks I have. Thanks to all who have given me input. Unfortunately, I have searched the internet and called a few places here in WI and have had no luck. I think there may one on Ebay but I can not access Ebay thru my work internet. I might look tonight.

thanks to everyone for the responses and warm welcome. I look forward to spending many useless work hours reading old and new threads.
