    my first dovetail project

    Hello again,
I just finished this jewelry box for my lovely wife. While I am waiting until I have everything together to make a woodworking bench I decided that I should give dovetails a try with some of the scraps left laying about. After two practice DT I went for it. Most of it is poplar except the center piece in the top is from a pallet (I think it is maple). I really am impressed with the Brusso hinges-very hefty and well crafted. I couldn't find a clasp that I liked so I just used a pair of rare earth magnets.

    Cheers,
    Ryan

    Very nice job Ryan.

  3. Very nice Ryan! I really like the way you used the contrasting wood in the center piece of the lid.

    Take care, Mike
