Question for PM 3520B owners (A's also)

Dumb question - I am pre-wiring for the 220v hookup. Will be buying the lathe next month. Just wondering what size wire to run. All depends on the amperage listed for the motor. Nothing is in the manual which I can download from the internet. Will 10 gauge wiring work? An electrician told me I'd be better off to run 8 ga if the amps is over 20. But personally I don't want to deal with trying to pull a 8ga wire thru 1" hole. Can someone please tell me the amperage? And what size wire did you run? I'll be running it about 35 feet from from the box.

    Thanks in advance
    Jason

Jason, #10 THHN is good for about 35 amps & 35 feet isn't far enough
to worry about voltage drop. Don't know anything about the PM tho....

  3. Mine is on about a 25' run of 10-gauge wire and is doing fine.
