I ordered this lift 2 days ago using Rockler 20% off founders day discount runs until 2/27. Rockler said it was compatible w PC 690 but it looks to me like an optional sleeve is required

Smaller routers like the 690 have a smaller diameter than the typical high-amperage routers used in many router tables, so you may need a sleeve to adjust for that. Many lifts were designed for the PC 7518 and similar router motors which have a significantly larger girth. You'd need to look at the specifications for the particular product you ordered to determine that. Some lifts did come in versions for the smaller routers. I have not looked at them for many years, however, and am out of touch with current offerings.

Tom,
If you're talking about the Mas-R-Lift ll it will handle a number of routers without adapters. I had a Dewalt 618 in one then switched to a Milwaukee 5625. The lift adapted to both.
