You obviously don’t - they are worked out with successfully finer grits like all other sanding operations. If you’re flattening a tabletop it’s likely you’re not going to be able to do it with a belt sander going with the grain 100% of the time. How would you remove those scratches ?Dave, how do you avoid cross grain scratches when using this on something wide in place of a belt sander? I can see how it would work well for scribes where the sanded edge isn't seen, but what about other uses?
