Bench top jointers

Most of the bench top jointers has 4 adjustment screws on the beds...and I know the reasoning for this..and I have also noticed the full size jointers do not have this...I'm scratching my head...what is the difference between the full size jointers not having these screws or the bench top having them...other than the cost difference..I looks to me in either case just have a good flat piece of steel for the infeed and out feed tables...

My jointer has a way to adjust the beds.
It’s not something that should be messed with. It’s one factory setup that’s hopefully done right. The difference between a good jointer setup and a great one is very small.
