I had a request from a sibling to build a few end tables and coffee tables out of old whisky barrels. Something different for me. So they became a winter project of sorts. It is amazing how much the wood shrinks on these as they dry out, but I finally finished a couple of them. She didn't want them sanded "pretty", preferring the rough look. Two each their own. The barrels are quarter cut white oak and the tops were just plain sliced. Not my cup of tea, but it is what she wanted. 20220216_163831.jpg20211204_101908.jpg20220208_140758.jpg20211204_101902.jpgThe coffee table is a lift top, but I couldn't find the pic. Note of caution" They are heavy. All 1" think white oak.
Found it. 20220204_164505.jpg
