My chrome page is looking weird today. The tab with the drop down menu of book marks is gone. The other book marks are there in that bookmark bar. My saved book marks are not shown in the other book marks pull down menu.
I think it is just over scanning and the top part is of the screen.

Did you accidentally toggle full-screen mode in Chrome? Try hitting F11 and see if it will give you your window back.
Edit: It is F11 in Windows. I don't know if the Mac key is the same.

Not a Mac user either but google led me down this primrose path:

Look at the bottom under tools, it looks like what you're after.
It's the California Department of Pesticide Regulation, the perfect place to find out about internet browsers! There's other places to look but this site was too perfect.

Not really a "Mac" issue, per se...something got messed up in the Chrome settings...although magnification of the window could merely be hiding things.

The chrome bookmarks bar is there, the menu bar above that one is missing.
