Something for the Drummers Out There

Here's a link to a Google video a friend sent me. This is a drum solo by a 12-year-old kid that'll blow your socks off. It's several minutes long, but well worth watching. I worked for several years in a drum shop, and have known quite a bit about drumming for a long time, but haven't seen playing like this very often, and never from a kid his age.

My taste in percussion runs more towards Brent Lewis or Kodo, but that was pretty amazing, no matter what age he is.

Hope he doesn't burn out early, ala Shuggie Otis.

My thoughts exactly. Here's hoping he's doing well in ten years. (Edited to add...I just Google his name, and he's now 21 years old, and doing quite well.)

It's one of two 10 day old javalina orphans that I got to play with around New Years.

Awesome! That's outstanding control and sense of timing for an adult, much less a 12 yr old!
