I just acquired this 20” 5 hp planer. It was a good deal but parts are nearly impossible to find. When I got it the motor works but the ability to raise and lower the bed both under power and manually was not working. I finally got it to move with an abundance of penetrating oil but I’m wondering about those 4 threaded rods getting rusty again. The Rubber bellows that cover the rods are more like calamari rings due to age. I really don’t want to disassemble the whole planer to put new bellows on. Any ideas on a split type bellows or a wrap just to keep them clean?
