    Balky Woodpeckers Router Lift?

I have a Woodpeckers router lift whose lifting action is balky. The router part seems to be twisting sideways on the posts, and it jams. I’ve tried backing off the brake, I’ve tried waxing the posts, to no avail. Anybody have better experience with this lift?

Is it their PRL-2? If so, Woodpecker's will service it free of charge, but you have to send it to them.

It has a nylon gear, used for fine adjustment height. Mine was worn and although I could see it and easily replace the gear, Woopeckers insisted I send it in (6 weeks round trip). I paid shipping one way.

Mine is also jerky using the quick height adjust tool. I've tried waxing the vertical posts. This helps a little.

The lift looks like the PRL-V2 which is their current offering. But there's no markings on my lift to indicate the model number. It has been balky since it was new.
