Upgrading dust collection filter

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to take dust mitigation extra seriously going forward, and in addition to many other good dust related practices, upgrade my dust collectors filter. Its a jet cyclone two stage dust collector (JCDC-1.5) with a 2 micron filter. I'm looking to upgrade it to a HEPA rated filter, is there any reason this would cause issues with my current collector? Does anyone have a recommended website or manufacturer which produces upgraded quality filters?

You could try contacting Wynn Environmental and ask them if they would make a custom sized filter. They do MERV 15 filters.

The Jet filter is already MERV 13 (2 micron), so I don't know that you would get much benefit by increasing.

I agree with Aaron - Winn is a great source for filters and can give you solid advise.
