I wonder if anyone can tell me anything about this plane? It seems to be a fairly sophisticated plane for cutting grooves or rabbets. It has a double pointed nicker ahead of the blade and a screw-adjustable depth gauge. I don't see any markings or an indication of a maker on it. It was just given to me, I'd be curious as to age, who made it and proper use.

It's a dado plane.
