Not having an adjuster is a huge PIA. Before the next one I'll make an adjuster for mine or I may have a CNC by then.
I got it done the hard way, tapping the jig into submission with a hammer. I just need to do a little clean up and glue it in tomorrow morning.

I'm having a terrible time posting from my phone on this site. I'll try to bring you up to speed, it isn't much but, here we go.

After the glue up and a little clean up.

Prepped all the brace wood for the top and back. I thought to have them all shaped and installed but, I ended up nursing a bad knee all weekend. Because of that, I'm not sure about my progress right now. I called the doctor and will have to see what he says.

Richard, you can't be in mobile mode to post photos...you have to be in desktop mode for that and do the same steps as if you were using a desktop/laptop computer.

Some more brace work. My template is made from foam core poster board. I'd like to make or purchase an acrylic template some day but for now, this works.

I cut the lap joint with a Japanese saw and a chisel. It's a snug fit.

I abscond the use of the dish and Go-bar deck and let the braces do the work of shaping the top.

I did this on Sunday morning and was too lazy to go into the shop this morning, preferring arm chair luthery. Sometimes it's all I've got but at least I'm learning stuff. Everybody does things different and I like that.

I forgot to glue the lap joint so I guess I'll have to super glue it now.

Among other things I started carving the x-braces this morning. It's the most fun you can have with a chisel.
