    Exotic awls

Just completed these 3 awls in preparation for the Handworks event in Sept. One in Desert Ironwood, 2 in infused Masur birch. These have a removable blade feature to facilitate sharpening.

I would consider those more of a gimlet than an awl but still nice looking

    Beautiful work Ron.

I agree with Edward about the spiral making them look like gimlets.

Do they work like a gimlet?

    They do not. Purely decorative.
