    Gun brass finishing for PENS..

I like to make pens using spent 308 or 30-06 brass then turning the upper half with cherry / walnut / olive wood...
Using CA glue to finish the wood...
Need help on how to keep the shell brass looking shiny after buffing them...
Should I put a CA finish on them also or what ??

    Any advice appreciated...

You need to coat brass with a protective clear finish after polishing to keep it from oxidizing. Rattle can lacquer or shellac are good options as they dry clear and quickly. Spray in a well ventilated area; outside if the lacquer.
