    I'd love some HINGE HELP!

    Hi,

I know next to nothing about hinges ... I've bought some cheap ones ... and I've regretted it. I'm building a small cabinet for a friend (see pic below), and I'd like to buy good hinges ... like the kind that won't break for a while ...

also, I'd like the door to cover the frame ... see the attached pic ...

soooo... brand suggestions? What kind of hinge am I looking for?

    Thanks!

Blum should have anything/everything you want/need. I'm pretty partial to Blum.

You want full overlay hinge. Blum 110deg + Clip top Blumotion would work well. The part number is B073B3550, and you use it with a 0 deg mounting plate, such as part number B175H710.

You're looking for frameless concealed cabinet hinges. Often called "european hinges." Agree with Rich that Blum is a good brand. Definitely don't buy the cheapest ones you can find.

Our Home Depot has a sample of hingers (as above) and shows how they mount and open. Quite handy if you are trying to visualize how they work...
Funny, I don't remember being absent minded...
