    Acorns

These were fun to make though my wife asked what to do with them and I had no answer. Good practice for box making I guess - they all have a tight suction fit that makes a nice “pop” when opened.

Approximately 2–2.5” x 1.5” in size. The light wood bases are maple and the darker base is poplar. The outer lids are black walnut and the two middle lids are poplar with iron oxide.

    Comments and critiques welcome.
    Thanks, Tom

Drill a small hole thru the stem and add a tiny ribbon. Makes a great Christmas tree ornament. Keep acouple in the car and you will run into opportunities to give them away! If I got hung up with what to do with every thing I turned, it would sure dampen my enthusiasm for just turning something for the fun of it.
God is great and life is good!
