Fine Fein vac Bosch Sander Combo... (w/pics)

    Hello everyone,

I have wanted a better sander than my PC333 ROS for a while now and finally settled on the Bosch 1250 DEVS 6" Random Orbital Sander. I tried connecting it to my Ridgid shop vac, but the combo was a screamer. I was going to try to find a way to quite it, but when I was able to get a great deal on a Fein Turbo II with the auto on feature, I grabbed it.

Here is a pic of the combo,

I will let you know how it works out in the next few weeks as I have many many doors to sand...

    Thanks for looking,

    David.

Every neighbourhood has one, in mine, I'm him.

David, I use that combination often. One problem is that the Fein provides so much suction that the ROS tends to stick in place.

How does the new Bosch compare to the 333? Been thinking of doing the same.

Thanks, Howie. I saw that on their site before, but didn't look at it closely. I'd love to have one that has the tool socket onboard. I believe that starts with the Turbo II.

They all do now. That's why the (previous version) mini is on closeout.

It appears that the Fein Turbo I (with auto on/off) will soon replace the Fein Mini that is now on close-out sale. A few web sites are starting to offer it. I have a dust collector and a large shop vac, so I have been thinking of the smaller Fein (rather than Turbo II or III) to use with power tools, and keep the larger shop vac (with larger hose, etc) for general clean-up. Suggestions?

    small fein

I have two(okay three) shop vacs--all craftsmans. And I have Turbo II. I use the Fein in shop for clean vacuuming. And the others for the dirty stuff--cleaning chimney, cleaning yucky stuff. I could live with a smaller Fein, not as hard to carry when setting up on jobsite--But I want auto on/off switch. If there is too much sucking for a sander--you can drill hole in adapter to reduce it.
