Makita 23ga pinner issue

Just bought it and deciding if I’m going to return it. What happens is while using it the 5/8 inch nails the nails will rotate in the carriage and I will not realize that I’m shooting blanks till I open it up and see them cocked. Is this a common problem? I’m sure it will probably work better with longer pins.

I regularly use .5" 23 gage pins in my Grex and they never do what you describe. Sounds lke there may be an issue with that particular gun; not the model, just "that" gun.
