Up to 15 ounces of coffee from a 2 pound battery? Not what I plan to lug along on a camping trip. A gas powered backpacking stove is way better.

However it might be a good option on a boat that only goes out for some hours. Fire is a bad idea on a boat. But an old fashioned thermos bottle might suffice.

This will sell well in the gifts and gimmicks market.

Here is one of the Trangia outfits. We use the version with a wind screen on the boat, carefully and with the fire extinguisher handy. Even with the wind screen they are not great in much of a breeze. I like that they are easy to fill, they are silent, there is no pumping, they do not stink, other than the smell of alcohol. The alcohol aroma is occasionally lingering around whether we hot anything up or not.
