Is there someone out there who can help me identify this beautiful wooden jointer? I thought it might be Swedish, but it does have a Stanley cutter and lever cap.

Probably a craftsman made one. Saw something similar on Patrick Leaches site. The kidney shaped hole on the lever cap places it as newer.
Regardless, beautiful plane.

As far a my knowledge goes, Stanley never made such plane. They did make transitional planes. They had more iron and open handles.

Reminds me of the Cecil Pierce style plane he wrote about in his book.
Seems like someone's plane making project, since it's laminated and uses unmodified spare parts from a metal plane.

Thank you all for your help…it originally belonged to a violin maker who had multiple Swedish wooden planes, so I thought it may have come from a similar source. In any case, a beautiful piece to hang on to and use.Originally Posted by Jimmy Kennedy
