    Magic Marker

First, I'm not entirely sure that this doesn't belong in the finishing forum. If it does, I trust some administrator type will move it. Anyway, I'm re-finishing my wifes dining room table and after I finished stripping it I found some green scribbles that appear to be magic marker. Is there something I can use to get them out? I'm not through sanding but it doesn't look like they're gonna sand out.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Jason, you might try using a scraper if you have one. It's faster than sanding and leaves a nice smooth finish. Good luck, and make sure you let us know what you did and if it worked.

If Laquer thinner won't work for me I try Acetone as a last resort.

There actually are products called magic marker removers. You'll probably find them in your local office products store.
