How do I edit a post? I went to it and looked for the word edit but found nothing. Is it right there? Where?

John, a person who posts can edit their post for 24 hours after they make the post. After 24 hours, only Moderator or Administrator can edit posts.

But, a member during that first 24 hours can edit posts there will be a edit hot button in the same area where you see the Post Quick Reply, Go Advanced or Cancel hot buttons.

Adding to what Ken said, if there is something truly material that needs to be edited, just flag the particular post with the "report post" function and someone on the moderation team will take care of it for you. While an certainly PM an individual moderator, using the "report post" feature is more efficient because it gets the first person to see the request rather than being left hanging until an individual actually reads a PM.
