Dowel Screws

I make cedar curtain rods and brackets, and I use a 1/4" dowel screw for my brackets. Been selling them for a few years now, but every once in a whhardware.jpgile a customer wants to know what type of anchor to use. I cant seem to find the right one what works every single time. Any suggestions would be appreciated...
