Thread: Is this too much "Fiquire"?

I would not use that board. It has some nice figure, but that knot area is a bit too much for my taste.

Going out on a limb here and I'll start by stating that epoxy pours are an outright crime but I would consider filling (that one little spot) with coffee grinds and black epoxy if you really want to use it.

Thanks guys-super helpful feedback! Good points about the style of piece matters when you’re talking about material guestions like this.

Just finished and will post build thread eventually. Sideboard is in Greene & Greene style which is pretty rustic/craftsman like - exposed joinery and all.

    Thanks again for the suggestions!

I see I'm late to the party (as usual) but in my shop, stuff like that on a board are considered defects, not figure. I typically avoid the rustic style stuff though, so that's why.
Looking forward to seeing pics of your finished build!
