    Cool old iron wood/machine shop

Last weekend the New Hampshire woodworkers guild had a neat event. A number of members opened up their shops for tours. There happened to be 2 shops that were fairly close. The first was a new build that was clean and modern with similar equipment.

The second shop had an assortment of old iron that was restored to new. The gentleman happened to be a master woodturner and machinist. Amazing craftsmen with an unreal wealth of knowledge. For the life of me I have never figured out how, why and a correction to rotate pics in SMC so I do apologize for that but here are a few pics for your enjoyment:

Looks like the engine lathe and shaper are driven by a line shaft. That would be old school.
