Jack, welcome back. Uploaded pictures will usually show as thumbnails that you click on to expand. If there are multiple pictures click “next” after viewing the first one.

I see links to other member pictures. Must I always click to see the photo?
You probably need to delete your SMC cookies and log in again for the pictures to show up in small size. As noted above, clicking on them will make them larger and if you click on a photo then it will get even larger. Use the back arrow to go back to the post.Originally Posted by jack duren

Still having to click to see the photos. I take it they won’t automatically appear when ai look at the post?

No, they should just show up. Try logging out, clearing your SMC cookie, rebooting your machine and then re-logging in to SMC. This is most likely a browser issue. It's not the forum.
