    First Sunset of the year

This was on Jan. 1. I took several with the good camera, but none were worth keeping. I had forgotten I took one with my phone and just happened to see it a little while ago. This was after the Sun had gone down below the horizon, but was still reflecting off the clouds.

Thanks for sharing. It's always nice to see sunsets from around the world.
I read recipes the same way I read science fiction. I get to the end and I think, "Well, that’s not going to happen."

Maurice, that looks like it could be the same Sunset. My pic was taken right here on the Va./N.C. state line.

Not my picture but this is a shot of my home town, Hampton Virginia just a few blacks from the downtown area and a couple miles from Fort Monroe. Hampton is the oldest continuous speaking English speaking settlement in America, established in 1610 just three years after Jamestown. This area used to be where the largest crab industry in the country was located.

    Not my pictures.
Both of these pictures were taken at Yorktown Beach Virginia just about one hundred yards in front of Cornwallis Cave where General Cornwallis was held captive after the British surrendered and about one quarter mile from the Yorktown Battlefields. To the right is the Chesapeake Bay.

    Thank you.
A different season’s sunrise and slightly different angle:

And lest Mr. King think ‘sunrise’ too much thread drift, a sunset from almost the same spot:
