    Sanding Blocks

If I wanted to make some custom sanding blocks that used standard round sanding paper used for an ROS where could I purchase the velcro backing for the sanding block?

I only keep a 2-3 sanding blocks around. Piece of plywood that I use for 4x24 sanding belts , a rubber sanding block I bought for holding sanding paper and a wood block I use ROS sticky back sandpaper on…Seems to have covered my woodworking for 25 years at my current location..

couldn’t find the sanding block, but found the long sanding block or doors..

Keith, for a few bucks you buy one ready made for H&L disks: https://www.amazon.com/2Pcs-Hand-San...0BZ2S5RF7?th=1

I have used mine only a few times, but it is great at getting more life out of used disks.
That said, I’m a huge fan of the 3m stikit sanding blocks that see a lot of use in my shop.

I assumed you didn't want to go wider than 3", but there are products that come wider than that.
Here are some Amazon items, some are adhesive backed, some aren't.
Not sure but maybe the non adhesive backed can be stuck on with two sided tape or epoxy.
    Added a link for a 12 x 12" sheet

Amazon has peel and stick H&L pads available that can be "stuck" to a shop made or purchased hand sander that has the right dimension for the media you want to use, typically 5"/125mm or 6"/150mm. I recently bought one for a buffer I picked up at HFT so I could use H&L foam pads.
