Cabriole Leg Coffee Table - Edge Profile Question

    Hello all!

So I'm wrapping up my veeeery looong running cabriole leg and leaded glass coffee table build, and I have an edge profile question. This thing is huge, about 6' long. I made the legs massive as well, to hopefully be proportional. I know very little about traditional furniture building, but did my best on this.

All this being said, I had planned to add a Roman ogee profile to the bottom edge of the top. My mock assembly here though (top still unfinished) makes me think that the overall thickness is necessary to hold up to the sheer size. I'm also a little concerned after all this work that a little wiggle with the router and I'm stuck figuring out how to fix my mistake.

So, leave as is? Or attempt the Roman ogee on the bottom edge profile of the top? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

(P.S. I do plan on recommending a tempered glass top as a final topper since the leaded glass isn't really suited for any impact)
