    Box Beds

I saw this article on BBC about Box Beds. I had never heard of these. The pictures suggest they were pretty clever wooden cabinets in which people slept. Some were simple. Some were very elaborate.

The end of the article suggests they are making a comeback. So if you're looking for projects to sell...

I remember a book about masterpiece paintings and how to make the furniture in the paintings. One was an Italian bedroom. The bed was a series of dowery Chests stacked up as a platform for the mattress and more for the head and foot board.

Cool article, thanks for sharing. Will be interesting to see if they make a comeback and if so, in which circles (the tiny house crowd perhaps?)

Yeah, I saw that article earlier today. It’s an interesting read.

Could work with a sleeping bag but normal sheets and blankets would be hard to manage.
