It looks like a bench hook to me. Why is it funny?

The way Derek said it to make a point. It's a simple board, so it doesn't have to be anything extravagant. In my mind it's easy to get a chuckle
out of the simplicity, NOT a laugh like it's a circus piece.

Yea, most of mine are made ad hoc.. and I've tossed many after use.
