    DeltaX5 Table Saw Switch

Hello, I am new to the forum and I am having a problem with my on off switch. I have a Delta X5 3HP Cabinet saw. I bought the top half of the switch and wired it. I must have copied something wrong as the pish button on the switch doesn't have power to it to engage and hold the switch on. I can manually push the contact to activate the switch but the button doesn't do it. Attached are pictures of the wired switch. Can you see what could n
be wrong? Thank you in advance. Richard Sichak

There should be a wiring diagram inside the cover.

Agree with Mike, look for the wiring diagram inside the machine. Also, the part you have in the pictures is called a contactor, not a switch.

Looks like terminal 3 (L2 along the top edge) is wrong. You've got it hooked to one side of the coil, but it otherwise doesn't go anywhere.

Single or three phase. Make sure the coil voltage is correct. Check the off switch has continuity.

Ok thanks on the contactor (switch) terminology. I will look for the diagram. Thank you.
